Seeking connections and info on family of Lawrence SMITH born in VA; and in Upson Co GA by 1824. Two land deeds in Upson state that Lawrence was in Jasper Co prior to purchasing land in Upson. He was an Inferior Court Justice, major land and slave owner in Upson.
He married Caroline C. GARDNER in 1828 Upson Co.
He died in Pike Co GA in Jan 1878.
I appreciate any help.
