Could someone please respond with historical information on Lamar County, please--what happened in Civil War and post?

I believe Frances or Fannie Moreland married again after Farley to John M. Settle b. 5 Dec. 1802 and died 24 Apr. 1855 in Georgia.

Frances or Fannie Moreland, b. abt 1801 in Georgia and died
27 Jul 1879 and buried in the Settle Family Cemetery Near Mi, Lamar Co., GA Their children and inlaws left for Monroe and Pike Co., Ga and then to Emory Rains, Texas turn of century.
