Hello list,
Here is my "roll call". I don't have much info. on this person, don't even
know if I have the correct spelling of the surname. Here goes: GORDON
GALBRAITH/GALBREATH b. ca 1910-20 probably Montgomery, Alabama. Served in
WWII, Air Force. Probably stationed at one time in/near Sacramento, CA., or
Twin Falls, Idaho, or in Oklahoma. Had a one night ("Victory in Europe
post-war celebration") liason with a young woman named Mary Ruth in 1945
resulting in a son born 12 Jan 1946. The baby was adopted out at the age of
3 days, and I understand that Mr. Galbraith/Galbreath was not told of this
pregancy. Very likely that Mr. Galbraith/Galbreath is deceased (I found a
Gordon Galbraith in the Social Security Records dec'd in 1985, Portland, OR,
poss??), so would like to know of his ancestry, especially medical records,
as the son, now age 54 has developed diabetes, and may have an impact on our
2 sons, one of whom has developed some medical problems already. These
problems are not found in my family, nor in Ruth's family (I have been in
contact with her for the past 6 yrs). It is important to me and my children
to learn of any medical history of this particular family. It would also be
thrilling to learn of Mr. Galbraith/Galbreath's family history and see just
where his family comes in in our American history!! Anyone who might
recognize some of these bits of info. please contact me either by email or
snail mail. This is very important!! Thank you.
