I am searching for solid evidence that Edward Gallagher (from Ireland
1823ish) was the father of Joseph Gallagher b 1821 in Wayne Co., OH. There
are some census records that support this but the next decade shows some
discrepancies (age off a bit, birthplace changes??). From the census he
had brothers Clement & Victor b. 1836 & 1833 respectively. I also believe he
may have had sisters, one of whom most likely married a Finney. There also
may be some connection to the Sterkels of Richland Co..
