Had to laugh Dianne,

My Christopher James Gallagher is driving me to distraction also.

Not on the 1881 census. Married in Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham 1888.

His wife (my G Grandmother ) remarried 1898. No sign of him at all. No
death. No registration of my Grandmother Elizabeth Ann Gallagher (1889)

All I can resume is that he went back to Ireland and Elizabeth was born
there.

Coming over to see if I can find Elizabeth on the 1901 census about twelve
years of age by then and maybe with a different surname if she took her
Step -fathers.

I am about to give up too. Christopher is not the Waxholme, only one on the
1881 census but for years I thought he was.

Interesting to see so many American Gallagher's too.
