Bernard Gallagher and Ann Monahan came from Ireland to NYC. All records of Luke Gallagher say he was born in NY. He was probably born in the early or mid 1860s. Luke Gallagher died in Brooklyn, NY on November 30, 1903; he married Lizzie Gerrity in NYC on June 1, 1890. They had children: Nellie Gallagher born April 14, 1891, Elizabeth (Bess) Gallagher born January 23, 1893, Bertha Gallagher born February 22, 1894, and Thomas Gallagher born December 5, 1896. Thomas was a NYC detective.All the children named were born in Manhattan. Lizzie Gerrity Gallagher died in a fire caused by Christmas tree candles or lamps in 1897 in Brooklyn.
We are searching for any information about the family, especially where they came from in Ireland.
