John W. Gallagher Jr., 71, of 622 Gordon St., Allentown, died Sunday in Sacred Heart Hospital. He was the husband of Grace (Zipeto) Gallagher. He was a captain of security for the Wackenhut Corp., Allentown, working at Air Products and chemicals, Inc., Trexlertown, for 10 years before retiring in 1975. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John W. Sr. and Jane (Trimble) Gallagher. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Allentown. Surviving with his widow are a daughter Kerry, at home; a son Brian, with the Army in Panama; a sister Regina, wife of Alfred Wolf of Northampton, and a brother Robert of Allentown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church. There will be no calling hours. The Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown, is in charge of arrangements.
