Robert,
I am from the same family as Patrick Gallagher. I am a direct decendant of his brother John born feb 29, 1860 in Tamaqua, Pa. If you check out the 1860 census for Tamaqua, Pa. Schuylkill county. Page 81. The census taker spelled the name wrong. They have John listed as 3 months 12 days old. Exact hit. Mary is 4 years old. There is a Caromack. If you go to the 1870 census you see his name is McCormick. They are living in Rush, a place in Schylkill county. The name is spelled right in 1870. Then in 1880 they are living in Butler, a place in Luzerne county. All of these areas are close to each other. The son John born in 1860 was in Freeland on Ridge street in 1900 and then in Foster Township in 1910 and shortly after that census he moved to a town called Luzerne in Luzerne county where he died at the age of 50. The body was taken back to Freeland by railroad and he was buried in St anne's cemetery. All of this is documented. Death certificate, marraige ap!
plications, etc.
