Thanks for your reply.

I have no information about my Michael Gallagher's siblings, so I don't know if he had a brother named Patrick in County Mayo. However, my ancestor was born on Nov. 22, 1818 so it's not likely that your Patrick who was born in 1841 was a sibling of my Michael. My Michael was born in County Roscommon according to his obituary. I know that the two counties border each other.

Do you know if Patrick's father's or grandfather's names were Neil or Cornelius? Do you know the names of any of Patrick's siblings? Did Patrick stay in Ireland or did he migrate to America?
