On Aug. 8 1944 Elizabeth MURRAY married Patrick GALLAHER in Rock Island, Rock Island County, Illinois. (Vol A page 23 Lic# 240) Her mother's name was Miranda MURRAY (unknown maiden name) and signed for her daughter to marry since she was only 16 years old. Miranda was living in Rock Island, IL. also. Unknown who Elizabeth's father was at this time.
Patrick GALLAHER who was born on St. Patrick's Day, March of 1825 in Dublin Ireland. (not proven yet) His father had to sign for him, for he was under age. His father's name was John GALLAHER from Warsaw, Hancock County, IL. I have no idea what Patrick's mothers name was.
I have not been successful in finding the MURRAY family in the census.

My 2X Great Grandmother, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Caroline GALLAHER GOLLAHER GOLLAGHER abt. Nov 1847-1849 supposedly in Rock Island, Illinois. She married John M. WARDELL (He changed his surname to ROGERS. He also was a Sgt.Major for the Union side in Civil War) in 1862 in Marion Co. Mo. They divorced in Quincy, Adams Co. IL. in 1874. The divorce was granted on the grounds of adultery by both parties. John had an affair with his wife's younger sister, Clara Ann GALLAHER GOLLAHER GOLLAGHER BUCHHEIT and Lizzie had an affair with William E. LANE. By 1875, Lizzie was married William E. LANE and living in Hannibal, Marion Co. Mo. She died Dec. 31, 1925 in Hannibal. Her husband Wm. LANE died about 1899.
Clara Anne GALLAHER GOLLAGHER b. abt. 1857 in IL. She married John BUCKHEIT BUCHHEIT in West Quincy, Marion County, Mo. in 1872 and lived Quincy, IL. Unknown what became of her after they divorced in Quincy, IL in 1874.
I'd love to find the MURRAY family living in or near Rock Island, IL.
What happened to John GALLAHER (Patrick's father) who lived in Warsaw, IL.
Could John (patrick's father) be related to a Hugh GALLAHER died Aug. 19 1894 in Warsaw, IL. Buried Oakland Cemetery, Warsaw, IL. Hugh severed in Co D 65th IL Inf in Civil War or Edward GALLAGHER who served Co K 50th G Reg.in Civil War.
What happened to Elizabeth "Lizzie" Caroline's brothers and sister?
