Here is Brigadier-General Edward Parry Lambert's obituary from The
Times, 30 May 1932:

"BRIGADIER-GENERAL LAMBERT
Brigadier-General Edward Parry Lambert,
late R.A., died at Clare Hall, Ston Easton,
Somerset, at the age of 66. The son of Colonel
Parry Lambert, late R.E., and grandson of
General Burnett, of Gadgirth, Tarbolton, Ayr-
shire, he was educated at Wellington and the
Royal Military Academy. He served in the
Great War, being mentioned in dispatches and
made C.B. in 1915 and C.M.G. in 1918. He
retired in 1921. He married the daughter of
Major-General George Shaw, R.A., and widow
of Major C. A. Ryan, R.A."
