Dear Jean and anyone else out there listening...
When I send info to the list such as I did about Willis Gallop...I am
meaning to help. I have not researched those lines...so have little idea of
their accuracy. However, I do my best to keep my file updated...because
most of the info that I do have is correct to the best of my knowledge. So,
I do welcome corrections and feel that they are very helpful!
My main concern is to be as helpful as possible...now, as to your
Gallop...I would say that they are probably from the New England group...and
I might venture to say, probably descended from Nathaniel Gallop and
Margaret Everly....that seems to be the least documented line of the
Gallops. However, I would not pay much attention to the spelling...since it
changed several times and in several generations. I would suggest that you
contact Nancy Gallup Byerwalters...to give her your updated lineage. She is
working on the Gallup genealogy and it would be a good idea to include a
line such as yours that has some "problems" in the lineage. I'm sure that
she would welcome corrections as well!
