My records show that John Gollop, b.1465, was born in Netherbury,
Dorset.
His son, John was also born there, and his grandson, Thomas was born
North
Bowood, which is only a mile or so from Netherbury. Then his
greatgrandson, John
again, was born at Strode Manor, North Bowood, near Netherbury, Dorset.
The gg-
grandson, John Gallop, was born slightly north of there at Mosterton,
Dorset, as was
his son, John Gallup, who emigrated to America.
