I was recently doing research at the Lumpkin Co. courthouse and came across
a Homestead application dated 1872 by Sarah Roberts, widow of Martin
Roberts. It mentions her two minor children Agness and Lavinia, as well as
the personal property which is being claimed under the Homestead Act. I
have not connected them with my Roberts line yet, but the name Martin makes
it seem that there is a possible connection. If anyone is interested, I can
transcribe the entire Homestead record. Also, if anyone has any other
information on this family, I would appreciate you contacting me.
