Surname: Price, Williams
-------------------------

Lumkin County, Georgia, and especially Dahlonega, sounds like a wild, rough
place to be moving to in late 1700 , but that is what my g-g-g-grandparents
did. Sgt.John Price and his wife Penelope Pierce Price and several children
moved from Martin County, NC to Dahlonega. Their son William Pierce Price
may have been born there in 1835 (published bios differ - some say GA 1835
and some say he was born in 1797 in Martin County and taken to Dahlonega
as a babe-in-arms. I want to learn WHY they moved, what the family data
is from their lives there, and where the family members are buried. William
Pierce Price is reportedly buried at Hill Crest Cemetary - but where is
his wife Sarah Williams (b.1799, Missouri/ d.1854) and their children?
I am a direct descendent. Thank you for any clues or answers you can give
me - let me know how I might assist you as well.
