Brantley Returns
Mr. N.W. Parker who has been very low with pneumonia, is on the mend.
Rev. Bascom Anthony has been among us during Christmas killing the few stray
birds he left here last year.
On the night of the 28th ult., at the home of the brides parents, Miss
Leila Smith, of this county, and Mr. Clarence Cook, Macon County, were
married. Rev. A.B. Bell officiating.
Also at the home of the brides parents, Miss Ada Cook and Mr. W.L. Wilson,
on the evening of the 29th ult., were joined in matrimonial alliance. Rev.
Byron Bell performing the ceremony.
We have one or two more cases threatening to marry.
Dr. O.J. Short, of Augusta, Ga., made his parents a flying visit during
Christmas.
Our friends, G.P. Munro and W.B. Merritt, Jr., of the lower part of the
county, were among their friends a short time during Christmas.
Rev. ------ Fentress stopped over to see friends as he passed through on his
way to his new work. We are always glad to see him.
