I have a family bible transcribed on the web. The Gambles mentioned are

John Gamble Sr. b 1748
Elizabeth kennedy b. 1751 They came to the US in 1811 from Ireland. Their
oldest son talked them into coming here as he had come in 1801 with the rest
of their children. THey settled in PA.

THeir oldest son John Gamble Jr. b. 9/12/1777 came to the US first and
settled in PA then moved to Jefferson County, MO. He was back visiting his
parents in PA and died on the visit. Leaving his wife and kids in MO.

Nancy Gamble b. 1775

James Gamble b. 11/20/1781

Willliam Gamble b. 2/12/1789

Joseph Gamble b. 9/8/1791

George Gamble b. 4/10/1795. THe bible was George's sons. So it goes into
his family quite a bit.
