Does anyone know anything about a Daniel McElvain (b. ca. 1797 Sumter Co., S.
C.), and who his parents were? Here is some of what I have found on Daniels'
family.. He married 1st a Nancy China (need date) and 2nd Elizbeth (need
surname and marriage date and place of marriage). Nancy and Daniel had Susan
E. McElvain, Samuel McElvain, Elizabeth McElvain, and Mary B. McElvain
Daniel married 2nd and then moved to Dooly Co., Ga. He and Elizaberth had
Baron DeKalb McElvain and Richard Manaseh McElvain. It is possible there
were others. Daniel's father has been suggested as John McElvain who died in
Sumter Co., S. C. in 1822. If anyone can help with this McElvain family, I
would appreciate it!! Becky
