They may be different but they can be given to the same person. My great
grandfather was Charles Gammon. He came to the United States from
England and in the census his name is recorded as Gammon, Gammin, and it
eventually became Gamin which is the name I carry. When you are
searching for family history you have to follow many trails before you
find your family members.
