Bless your heart! The Muscogee Club is exactly what I have been searching
for!!!
My ggggrandfather, Eli Sims Shorter built this home when he and his family
came to Columbus about 1830. My greatgrandmother and her mother were raised
there and my grandmother used to thrill us with tails of her visits there
when she was young. The home was eventually sold and became The Muscogee
Club. I knew that a postcard existed with a photo of the home but have
searched unsuccessfully for a long time. I'm so excited, I'm shaking. Thank
you so much Kemis! You are wonderful!
