Is there anyone who can tell me how/where to find out exactly where in
Muscogee (Upatoi dist.) my wife's g. g. grandfather lived after receiving a
possible military warrant or land patent for serving in the Revol. War?
Where would I find that info? I only know that it was in the Upatoi dist. of
Muscogee co. and he lived there from 1840 until 1860 when he got a land
patent for Randolph co. AL. His name, by the way, was James Stephen FETNER,
but in the censuses he is listed as a Fisher. Would love to know where he
actually lived (Range, Township, Section #), since my wife and I are not too
far from that Upatoi district now!!
