Lisa, I would be interested to know if you connect with: Britton Gandy from Ohio. He had volunteered, at 19 years of age, as a private in Co. D. 22nd reg't, Ohio Volunteers, 17 Apr 1861, he was mustered out the co. on 19 Aug 1861, having served about 5 months.

Another Britton Gandy, enrolled as a private in Co. G. of the 22nd Reg't, Ohio Vo. (same re't as above) for a period of 3 yrs on 6 Sept 1861, at the age of 22. This may be one and same person..

Should you are anyone else know anything of this Britton Gandy, I would like to learn of his lines...Couple Brittain Gandy's are in Ms. Ga. Ala.....and just following thru on this given name...Thank you, Frances Gandy-Walsh
