Thank you for your response. Here are some facts I have uncovered since
my original posting:

Cuthbert S. Collier, son of Isaac and grandson of Vines, was born April
17, 1800 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. He died January 17, 1859 in Upson
County, Georgia and is buried in the old Collier Cemetery near Thomaston.
He married Mary Hicks and they had at least two children:
Charles Vines Collier and Cuthbert Hicks Collier.

Genealogists sometimes confuse Charles Vines, son of Cuthbert S. with my
grandfather, Charles Vines, Jr., son of Charles Vines, Sr. who was brother
to Cuthbert S.

Some records attribute a marriage to Susan Howard by my grandfather, Charles
Vines, Jr. Susan was the wife of the "other" Charles Vines and my grandfather
was only married to Sarah Mackie Womble.

I would like to correspond with any descendants of Cuthbert S. and Mary
Hicks Collier.
