John of Bedfor County, Virginia son of William of the Fort, who died in
what is now Franklin County PA in 1759 had at least four sons that moved
into Georgia about 1790 most of them with records in Oglethorpe County.
John's oldest son was William apparently a Revolutionary War veteran. My
documented records on him are rather sketchy so I have relied primarily
on other researcher's records. One of his brothers Abram or Abraham died
in Oglethorpe; the two Robert and David are the ones I have followed intensively
and have thoroughly documented records on most of their travels, both ending
up in Bond County, Illinois.
