Does anyone have information about the maiden name, husband or children of ELLENDER McNEELY, born in GA 1788, married @ 1803 in GA to UNKNOWN McNeely, died (probably) Anderson County, TX between 1860 and 1870. So far we have identified the following children for Ellender and her McNeely husband: James, born 1804/GA; Joseph (possible), born 1805/GA; Issac C., born 1808/Georgia; Robert P., born 1811/GA; T.G. (probably Thomas Grier), born 1820/Al; Cornelius P. (or Commodore P.) born 1821/AL. The family left Georgia for Alabama between 1815 and 1820 -- probably settling immediately in Perry County, AL. Ellender's McNeely husband died (probably in Perry County, AL) between 1825 and 1830. Ellender stayed in Alabama until the 1850s when she and all of her sons (except Cornelius or Commodore??) moved to Texas. The sons moved from Alabama to Texas at different times, but from what we know, basically within the 1850-1860 decade: Joseph (possible) is in Texas (Henderson County) in 1850!
; T.G. is in Texas (with Ellender) by the late 1850s (Anderson County); James arrives in Smith County, TX in the late 1850s, having spent a few years in Pickens County, AL; and Issac C. arrives in TX in 1856 (Henderson County), having spent a few years in Louisiana.

IT IS POSSIBLE THAT ELLENDER McNEELY IS THE NELLY MOON WHO MARRIED ROBERT McNEELY IN OGLETHORPE COUNTY, GA ON 8 FEB 1803.

If this family sounds familar to you, we would like to hear from you with any information that you have.
