Subject: [GAPAULDI] 1860 census

I've heard that there were portions of Paulding NOT included in the filming of the 1860 census. Is that true? I have a family missing for this census and wonder if that is why I can't locate them.
I've found part of a different family line (the parents and one child) in one district of the Cherokee 1860 census and the remaining children in an entirely different district, so I guess there were problems with the filming.
In my Paulding situation, the family of Richard Bass was enumerated in the 1850 Paulding census. I've found the three children from that census (Richard, age 12 in 1850, Jacob and Louisa) in 1860 as adults. There are four adults from the 1850 census that I have found absolutely no trace of and in fact, the only proof I have of their existence was that 1850 census. While it is possible they all were dead by 1860, I "feel" it in my bones that I've just not located them. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions/thoughts?
Thanks,
Carole
