If the "Grover" listed in this message is, indeed, my dear cousin Grover
Pope---then I would like to let him know that the article about our Sherod
James in the Pickens Heritage Book is not really very factual. He certainly
was not a Revolutionary War Patriot, as he was not born in time! He was not
a Cherokee Indian...he was not married to Fannie Deatley...etc. While I
feel that the Heritage book series are an interesting collection of folklore
and "heritage", it has long disturbed me that information submitted is not
always validated. In the case of our Sherod James, most of it was "wanna
be" fiction, and I wouldn't want Grover to be led astray by it.
