Would some kind person see if the following families are covered in the
Heritage of Pickens County book? They lived in that part of the state from
1848 until some time in the 1870s. According to the 1850 Census, they lived
in the 15th Division of Cherokee County, and by 1860 when Pickens had been
formed for about 7 years, they are recorded as being in the Truckwheel
District, Post Office Sanderstown.
William WILLIAMS b. in Surry Co., NC in 1800, and his wife Jane (Wilburn)
WILLIAMS b. 1800 in Surry Co., NC and died 24 December 1863 in GA, and
their children, all born in Surry Co., NC:
Elizabeth (married a Findley), Thomas (married a Robertson), Susan (married
a Foster), Richard Sinclair (married a Collins), Rebecca (married a Long),
Henrietta (married a Spencer), and Zachary (married a Fuller).
Thank you in advance.
