The Rockmart Journal, Rockmart, GA, January 2004
Mrs. Mary Mattie Lou Harvell, 71, 11 Hughes Dr., Rockmart, died December 31,
2003. Mrs. Harvell was born in Polk County on April 10, 1932, daughter of the
late Emma and Ed Barrett. Surviving are husband, Alvin Harvell, Rockmart;
sisters, Mrs. Georgia Crawford, Hanceville, Alabama, Mrs. Brenda McNabb and
Mrs. Emily Sparks, both of Cullman, Alabama; brother, Bob Barrett, Rockmart.
The funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. Friday January 2, 2004 in the Mt.
Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jacky Morgan officiating. Interment was held in
the Mt. Grove Cemetery, Hanceville, Alabama. This announcement was made on
behalf of the family by Freeman Harris Funeral Home. (The Rockmart Journal,
