The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., June 18, 2003
Ione Lassiter, 92, of 948 Atlanta Hwy., Rockmart, formerly of Buchanan Hwy.,
Cedartown passed away Friday, June 13, 2003 at her residence. She was born
April 8, 1911, in Columbus, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.J.
Lassiter and granddaughter, Teresa D. Lasher. Survivors include daughters,
Joanne Hayes of Cedartown and Bess Hall of Rockmart; 3 grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 16 at 2 p.m.
from the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. J.D. Bryant officiating.
Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were B.J. Truitt, Ray
Dollar, Vernon Knight, Jeff Rickett, Charles Galloway, and Gene Lasher. The
Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown
