do not think i am the person you were refering to, but i can answer your
question.
BENONI GARDNER (i have dates 1637/47 to 1731) father
GEORGE GARDNER (THE IMMIGRANT) --he sailed in the "Fellowship" of Bristol
with his wife and three sons (of whom the two elder, and Robert, died during
the voyage) and arrived at boston, mass. 29 june, 1637. he settled at
newport, rhade island, 1 sept. 1638, buying 6 square miles of land from
Narragansett indians. he was a delegate to the general court of rhode island
in 1662.
His first wife, whom he married in england, died also on the trip to
america was
SARAH SLAUGHTER, he married second about 1640 to HERODIAS HICKS,nee
LONG, and married the third time to LYDIA BALLOU, and had 8 sons and 5
daughters by the second and third marriages. the only sson of the first
marriage
was BENONI.
