Looking for the family of Maria GARDINER b 1793 (supposedly NYC) - d 1847
NY. She was married to Elijah BATES, b 1785 Berkshire Co, MA - d 1875 Erie
Co, PA. They had 10 children. He was a vet of 1812, received land in
Sullivan Co, NY. They are both supposedly buried in Sullivan Co. Have
tried finding the "Bates connection" for years, and am now trying a
different route. Please, anyone have any ideas?
