Gets a bit mixed up with so many widows and spouses....but here is looking from the GARDINER
viewpoint.. my 2nd cousin 5 times removed The Loard references Gardiner's Island, Suffolk Co., NY

Just received this lineage from a friend online:
Gen. Israel PUTNAM, b.7 Jan 1717/18 at Salem Village, now Danvers; d. 2 Feb
1718 at Brooklyn, CT; m. 1st Hannah., daughter of Joseph & Mehitable POPE of
Danvers; 2nd m. the widow, Deborah (Lothrop) GARDINER.
He had 10 children by his 1st wife, including Isreal, b. 28 Jan 1740 at
Danvers.
the other nine were b. at Pomfret, CT
Col. Israel PUTNAM, d. 7 Mar 1812 at Belpre, OH; he m. Sarah WALDO of
Pomfret, CT in 1764. He had 7 children, including his eldest son Isreal, b.
20 Jan 1766, d. 9 Mar 1824
Mehitable PUTNAM, Gen. Israel's daughter, b. 21 Oct 1749 at Pmfret CT; d. 28
Nov 1789; m. 1771, Capt. Daniel TYLER of Brooklyn, CT, aide-de-camp to the
General at Bunker Hill. three of their sons, Septimus, Edwin & Daniel
graduated from West Point.
Capt TYLER was the son of Daniel TYLER b. 22 Feb 1701 at Groton, d. 20 Feb
1802 at the age of 100 years, 11 mos & 26 days. He married 3 times & had 21
children; at the time of his death there were living 6 children, 50
grandchildren and 120 great grandchildren. Among his descendants were Gen.
Robert O. TYLER & Gen. Daniel P. TYLER .
The only other TYLER I found was Emily C. TYLER ,who married her cousin,
Daniel Putnam PAOLA, grandson of Capt. TYLER , lawyer in Brooklyn, formerly
Secretary of State for CT.
