Excerpt one to download is from "Littell's Living Age, Second Series," No. 484, August 27, 1853. It was taken from "Chamber's Repository." A very interesting story and account of Captain John Smith's life.

Excerpt two from "The New England Historical and Genealogical Register," 1856. Some notices of the family of Perkins in America.

Excerpt three is from "The New Hampshire," Vol. 1, No. 1, April 1900. It is an article written by John French about the early settlers of Pittsfield, New Hampshire.
