South Whitley Cemetery Cleveland TownshipWhitley County Indiana
SOUTH WHITLEY CEMETERY

The South Whitley cemetery was first used as a family
burial place. Henry Parrett was the first person buried there
in August 1845. It first contained 4 acres. Another family
burial plot nearby was private and the first person buried
was John Collin in 1845. It contained 3 acres. After several
burials in each, they joined and became known as the South
Whitley Cemetery.
