Joseph. Would you be willing to look for a James F. (possibly Fones) Gardner,
who married Anne Ireland? On the 1880 Riley County, Kansas census, his
possible son, another James F. Gardner, listed his father as born in Rhode
Island. I have been looking for any information on this guy for two years,
with very little success.
The original James F. Gardner was born in New York and died in Meigs County,
Ohio in 1818. This is all speculation with no records to prove it.
