Listers,

You may have noticed the Rootsweb Message Boards have been updated
with new software. All my surname lists are gatewayed to the
corresponding message boards.

One major change is that you no longer see the original poster on a
gatewayed message which means you CAN'T respond to it FROM the list.
If you want to reply, you must click on the link which takes you to
the board. From there you can either email the original poster
privately (if their email is available) or post a reply on the list.

As an example, you will see ALL gatewayed messages come from
. That address is generic and unmonitored -
that is, your reply goes into cyberspace. Don't forget some but not
all Message Boards Users subscribe to the mailing lists.
