The Schley County News Friday, February 29, 1908
A SAD DEATH Mr. J.R. Walters, Jr., after an illness of two
weeks with typhoid fever, died at his home at Dela(?) Fox,
Sumter county, last Tuesday night.


Mr. Walters was the third son of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Walters of
this county. Several years ago, he was married to Miss
Emmajett Hixon and to this union one child has been born---a
precious little girl, who together with the heart broken mother
and many other relatives are deeply bereaved by his sad and
untimely death. Mr. Walters held the position of section
foreman with Central Railroad.


The body was brought to Ellaville Monday, where the funeral and
burial took place.
