The Schley County News Friday, July 31, 1908
DEATH OF AN AGED LADY After an illness of several weeks
duration, Mrs. Martha Holloway, age 94 years, died at
the home of her son, Mrs. Robt. Holloway, at LaCrosse,
on last Wednesday. Mrs. Holloway was perhaps the
oldest lady in (the) county, and was the mother of a
large and highly respected family. She was among the
number of first members of the old Bethel church and
for more than 40 years worshiped there, and at the old
burial ground of this place her tired body was
consigned to a peaceful rest on Thursday last, Rev.
Norton officiating.
