THE WISH BOOK
Miss Allie Bell Brooks, teacher in Ideal school, carried her first graders to the health nurse for vaccination. The nurse asked one six-year-old his name, grade, etc. Then she inquired, "From where do you get your mail?" Replied the boy, "Er, er ..... Sears and Roebuck."
TICKET WINNERS
And in Miss Brooks mail today will be a couple of guest tickets to any show at Rylander Theatre, Anericus. That is, any except Gone With the Wind, for all passes are revoked for those two days. Manager I.T. Taylor suggests Monday or Tuesday will be an ideal time to use them, for he is playing "Escape", starring Norma Shearer and Robert Taylor.

NOTHING ON DAN
The bus driver who took a ride on his holiday had nothing on Daniel Edgar Miles of Fellowship community. Free from classes because Ellaville school had suspended to check the spread of influenza, Daniel showed up at Fellowship school Monday and spent the day.
SUFFERS BROKEN ARM
Miss Willa Larkin, The Sun's wide-awake correspondent in Lowe community, suffered a broken arm when she fell at her home early Monday morning.

J.H. Statham and C.C. McNeal were elected trustees of Ellaville school.
25 YEARS AGO (1916)
Ellaville beat the Americus A. and M. College at basketball, 25 to 3, avenging an earlier loss. A third game at Americus will decide the series.
40 YEARS AGO (1901)
Dupont Murphy left last Friday to enter the Technological school at Atlanta where he goes to perfect himself as an electrician.
Mr. Benejah Peacock, 86, one of the oldest and most prominent citizens of Schley county, died Sunday, Feb 3, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R.N. Rainey.
C.R. McCrory and the Rev. D.D. Bateman are heading a committee to build a Methodist parsonage.
