That is very interesting. It sounds like it could be the same person. I'm actually not even sure if Lillie Mae Ellison is related to the Mackey family I am researching. But thank you for the contextual information. It is not often that someone responds on these mailing lists that they actually knew the person you are researching!

This is in response to the message below from "Brian" regarding info about a
"Lille Mae Ellison" or "Lilly May Ellison", born 21 Dec. 1895, in Marion or
Schley County, and died 15 June 1972.
I am not sure this is the person you are looking for, but I remember a woman
named "Lilla Mae" (and I believe her last name was Ellison), who lived in a
very small shotgun type row house right near the Ellaville City limits on
Hwy. 26, and across the road from the home of Robert and Carl Walker. She
worked for the Walker brothers for many years. I was born 1930 and visited
the Walker home frequently and knew Lilla Mae, who also did some occasional
work for my Mother, Mrs. S. A. Manning. I hope this info might be of
interest to you.
