Subject: [GASCREVE-L] BOLTON and WILLIAMs families of Screven County
Date: Mon, 10 May 1999 10:54:41 -0400
During my recent search for Taylor and Williams ancestors, I've hit a big
brick wall that I cannot seem to get through. I'm hoping that someone out there
can shed some light. Almost daily I see postings of family lines on this
forum...where, Williams
and Taylors are mentioned (usually as spouses marrying into folk's direct
lines). My Williams is a Mack WILLIAMS, b. Abt. 1850-1860, married to Mary Jane
TAYLOR, b. abt same time. These two folks are the parents of my gg grandfather,
William "Robert" WILLIAMS, b. 19 Oct 1876 in Screven County, d. 14 Oct 1956 in
Savannah. He married Arrie Bell BOLTON, (1878-1930). They had several
daughters,
including Lozzie Ola (my grandmother - married WJ STAFFORD), Lessie, Edith,
Coreen, Arrie "Mae", Ruth...and a single son, Hazel Robert WILLIAMS (died
as a young boy). If any of these WILLIAMS/TAYLORs or BOLTONs appear in anyone's
records...I
would be forever greatful if you contact me. THANKS.
Tommy Newton
