Carol, if I've put all the clues together correctly, Mary
Ann is the d/o Lemuel, Jr. as shown below. The only date I
have is ca. 1770, which would make the above birthdate you
mentioned very possible. If you find documentation for it
I would really appreciate hearing from you. Thanks for
everyone's help on this.

1.Lemuel Lanier was born in 1729 in Brunswick Co,Va. He
died in 1770 in Duplin Co, NC. Lemuel married Sarah Hardy
about 1752. Sarah was born about 1730.

2.Lemuel Lanier Jr (Lemuel) was born in 1757 in Duplin
Co, NC. He died before 1784. Lemuel married Ann Mary .

3.Mary Ann Lanier (Lemuel Jr)(Lemuel) was born about
1770. She died on 8 May 1841. She was buried in C. Burke
Cemetery, Screven Co, GA. Mary married Joseph Daughtry son
of Michael Daughtry.
