Patty... IMHO that's not lending credence, it's "self-proving". After
the war and a long time afterwards $20 in gold was a small fortune for
"an ordinary individual". Heck, check the prices on U.S. gold coins and
it's almost a small fortune now... <G>
John Alexander Haire was a descendant of John Murphy's half brother John
English Autry. Look at the new buggy his friend's father bought in
1920, and the invoice for it:
