>Mr. W. L. Caldwell Dies at Middle Georgia Sanitorium
>
>Just before going to press word was received here that Mr. W. L. Caldwell
was dead. Following an illness of several weeks Mr. Caldwell was removed
last week to the Middle Georgia Sanitotium at Macon for treatment, and was
thought to have been improving until yesterday morning when he took a
sudden change for the worse and died almost unexpectedly a few hours later.
>
>He was a pioneer and prominent citizen of this county, respected and
esteemed by all men for his upright living and Christian character. He was
a devout member of Bethel Primitive Baptist church, and at which place
funeral services and interment will probably take place today.
>
>Mr. Caldwell was about 70 years of age and is survived by his widow, who
before their marriage was Miss Julia Windham, and the following children:
Mr. W. J. Caldwell, of Maulk; Messers Johnnie and Windham Caldwell, of near
Butler and Mrs. G. H. Moore, of Thomaston..
