HERBERT GUY BRYANT FOUND DEAD TUESDAY AT HOME NEAR MAUK

Mr. Herbert Guy Bryant, 42 years of age was found dead in the front yard
of his home near Mauk in Marion County early Tuesday morning. His death
was caused by an apparent heart attack. The body was discovered by Mrs.
Ella Horton, foster mother of the deceased.

Mr. Bryant was born in Rupert community, this county, April 2, 1917, a
son of the late Mr. Horace and Mrs. Mattie M. Bryant. He was a veteran
of World War II.

Since returning from the Army he has been engaged in farming near the Marion
Taylor County line.

Funeral for Mr. Bryant was conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at
the Pine Level Methodist Church, Rev. Herschel Whitley officiating. Interment
was in the family lot, Pine Level Cemetery.

Survivors include a half sister Mrs. Mary Lou Miller of Columbus and his
foster mother, Mrs. Ella Horton of Maulk.

Edwards Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
