Since posting my original query regarding Nathaniel Jackson and Mildred
Turner, I now have some more information. Cavel Jackson and John Andrew
Jackson moved from Harris County, GA, between 1850 and 1852 to join their
their brother Burwell, who had moved to Upson County earlier. In late 1852,
John Andrew and his family moved to Columbia County, AR. Cavel and his
family moved to Columbia County, AR, in late 1856. John Turner, who is
buried at the Old Bethesda Church Site, is most likely Mildred Turner Jackson's
brother--not her father. Burwell Jackson and his descendants remained in
Upson County. Burwell and his wife, Clara Harris Jackson, are buried at
the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
