TILLMAN MADISON DIX

Mr. Tillman Madison Dix,66,of 704 Greenwood Road died Saturday,March
9,1985,at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville,S.C.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon March 11,at 2 P.M. in First
Baptist Church with Dr.Robert M.Hoffman officiating. Coggins Funeral Home will
be in charge of the arrangements and interment ,which will follow in Southview
Cemetery.

A resident of Upson County for 37 years, Mr Dix was a member of the Georgia
Funeral Directors Association and owner of Tillman Dix Caskets co.,past
president of the Georgia Funeral Supply Salesmens Association,past president
of the Thomaston Lions Club and vice president of Davis Casket Co. in Americus
from 1955 thru 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sara Dix of Thomaston; one daughter, Mrs
Cheryl West of Greenville,S.C.;one brother, Mr. Thomas G.Dix of
Rochelle,Ga.;and one sister, Mrs. Lois Simmosn of Decatur, Ga. Two
grandchildren also survive.
