My ancestors were from Upson co ga at a place called THE Rock my great grand
fathers name was Dr. John O Holloway he married martha jane powell they had 6
children 5 boys and 1 girl their names john b 1860 earnest b1862 robert b
1863 joseph my grand father left upson co 1888 or 9 married my grand
mother in 88 or 9 as my father was born in 1890hellum b1870 mary b 1872 as a
kid i was told they came from virg. to s carolina to upson county ga. joseph
johnson holloway left upson and came to rome ga in 1889 opend a novelty
store on broad st he died in 1928 he and my gr. mother are buried in Mytrle
Hill Cemetary in Rome Ga i dont know any thing about my gr grand father or
the other 5 sons and daughter mary holloway i have a feeling they are buried
in upson county ga can u help me

In 1861, The Holloway Grays, of Upson County, Ga. Co. E, 3rd Ga. Battalion-
Enlisted men of the Confederate Soldiers. The meeting place was the Old Upson

Mr. T. P. Holloway Dead,
Mr. T. P. Holloway died at his home on Pike County last Friday and was
buried Saturday at the Trice Cemetery near Thomaston, the burial being
attended by quiet a number of sorrowing relatives and friends.
Mr. Holloway was born in Upson Co. on Oct. 2, 1834. He was a Confederate
Veteran having elisted March 1862, at Thomaston, Company A. 46th. Georgia
Regiment, and surrendered April 26, 1865, at Greensboro, NC
