Am researching family of John Jackson MARTIN, born Ga cl820.....also known as
John Martin and Jack Martin. He is believed to have been in Upson Co in the
l840s with brother, William Ervin Martin, bl8l8 in GA.

John Martin and wife, Mary Ann (Sanford?) were found in Randolph Co Alabama
in l860.....a county that adjoins Carroll and Heard Counties in GA. The
children in order of birth were:

John Sanford, William, Stephen T., Mary Jane, Nancy Jennifer, Jacob, Joseph
Jackson, Frances C., Buncomb Agustus. Children born between l844 and
l860...the first seven believed born in Georgia...others born in Alabama.

This family was found in Freestone Co Texas by l870. Information needed on
any MARTIN families in and around Upson and Talbot in early l800s. John
